Clouds.

lyrics

I never learned to listen to the clouds
For what I need to know
So now I try, but they're not speaking loud
Enough for me to show
I care. Correct me if I'm wrong
But didn't someone already write a song
About the clouds? I'm listening.

Isn't that someone I used know
Looking down at me?
Next to them, a ship appears to be
Heading out to sea.
I know it isn't really there.
But that's the point of writing a song
About the clouds. Can you hear it?

Was I on the ground, or did I dream it all?
It could have been a dream.
Or one of those times when you witness you're alive.
Nothing is as it seems.
I know it isn't really fair.
There's something honest about knowing I'm wrong.
That's why I care that we're here at all.

You could have left me on the ground.
Instead, you picked me up.
Now we're wandering through the clouds.
I can't believe it.
There's nothing left to do but fly.
Fly towards the sun.
Perfect in the sky.
Love this state of mind.
