Through The Secret Door (extended version)

by Chris Carlier

This was originally released as a short song for a patron:

I wanted to make some extended versions, but this is the only one that actually got finished. The rest are in limbo. Maybe I'll just release them to patrons one day...

I envision this one as a sort of Labyrinthesque otherworld. Enjoy!

Through the secret door
Beneath the cellar floor
I found the only path
To the world where good things last

The strangest things are smiling at me
They hear my thoughts and I listen to them sing

I didn't intend to stay this long
Now I fear I don't belong

released May 22, 2021
Special thanks some of the great patrons who make this possible:
Verna Alonzo (mom)
Oneil Carlier (dad)

Sometimes I make music for film/TV/games/radio. Sometimes I make music for patrons.

Most of the time I'm drinking coffee.
